About
William Kunda is a highly vocal, community-first political leader contesting as an Independent Candidate for Councillor in Kanyama Ward 13, located in Lusaka District. Running under the banner "Your Councillor. Your Voice. Our Ward," he has positioned his platform around an open-door policy aimed at correcting years of perceived neglect by transient politicians. Frustrated by structural issues affecting his neighborhood, Kunda campaigns strictly on grassroots accountability and a non-partisan approach, promising that municipal governance should serve every citizen equally regardless of their political alignment
Education
William Kunda possesses a solid academic and technical foundation that underpins his capabilities in public administration and municipal oversight. He completed his secondary school education in Lusaka, successfully earning his Grade 12 Certificate to meet all standard constitutional guidelines for civic office. To further sharpen his technical skill set, he pursued tertiary studies at Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts and Commerce, which equipped him with the analytical frameworks and organizational management skills necessary to effectively navigate the Lusaka City Council systems and oversee complex ward-level development projects.
Priorities
At the absolute center of William Kunda's campaign is his 5-Point Contract focused on flood mitigation, sanitation management, and economic empowerment. His immediate priority is upgrading and unblocking critical drainage networks across areas like Good Shepherd, Mukwasi, Twashuka, and Ahmadiyya to prevent chronic seasonal flooding. He pledges to establish dedicated garbage collection teams, fix broken neighborhood boreholes, and heavily utilize the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to build a local skills hub. To drive localized economic growth, he plans to secure CDF grants specifically for marketeers and small-scale traders
