About
Kelvin Mwansa (popularly known as Kamz) is a passionate young Zambian community developer, social advocate, and politician from Kabwe. He is contesting the local government elections as an aspiring Councillor for Zambezi Ward in Kabwe (having previously focused on the neighboring Chililalila ward). He is the founder of the Ghetto World Foundation and is heavily backed by national youth governance networks, including the Youth4Parliament movement, the Fix It movement, and the Movement for Good Governance.
Priorities
Direct Youth Business Empowerment: Under his self-funded Abana Vision Youth Project (AVYP), he directly purchases and delivers essential business equipment (such as barbering gear) to grassroots, youth-owned small businesses in the ward to foster productivity.Rejection of Political Violence: He is a vocal opponent of political violence, frequently advocating for peaceful democratic participation and urging young people not to be used by political elites as street fighters.Amplifying Margnalized Communities: Utilizing his platform to give a voice to underrepresented youths and informal workers living in congested settlements like the Makululu compound.
