Gift Sakala is a prominent 29-year-old Zambian activist, community mobilizer, and political candidate contesting local government elections in the Eastern Province. He is running as an Independent Candidate for Councillor of Chingazi Ward in the Kasenengwa Constituency (Kasenengwa District). Widely backed by the national Youth4Parliament movement, he previously contested the same seat during the 2021 general elections and finished strong in second place. Before jumping fully into elective politics, he built a well-known local profile as a news reporter and continuity announcer for Feel Free FM, a coordinator for the international youth network Chipata Activista, and the founder of the Vision 40 Youth Foundation.
