About
Doris Ding'ombi (popularly known as D²) is a trailblazing young civic leader and politician in Zambia. She made history in 2016 at just 19 years old by becoming one of the youngest elected civic leaders in the country, serving as the councillor for Dihamba Ward under the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND). Born and raised in the Manyinga District of the North-Western Province, her entry into politics was inspired by her father, Enoch Ding'ombi, a former civic leader. She later transitioned to serve as the councillor for Loloma Ward. She has quickly risen through the local government ranks, serving as the Deputy Council Chairperson for the Manyinga Town Council and being adopted as the official UPND candidate for Manyinga Council Chairperson.
