Cuthbert Bwalya is a prominent young Zambian development practitioner, business consultant, and politician based in the Eastern Province. He is contesting the August 2026 local government elections as an Independent candidate for Councillor of Masupe Ward in the newly redrawn electoral boundaries of the Chipata North Constituency (Chipata District). Heavily backed by the national Youth4Parliament (Y4P) network, he initially built a highly visible profile as an aspiring contender for the Chipata City Mayoral seat before focusing his community campaign on the council ward
